The way Choo make me feel

My name’s Gemma and I am a shoe-addict!

Don’t get me wrong, I’m no Carrie – I’m far too scared of debt for that – but I have been known to buy over and above five pairs of shoes in one shopping trip, and at one stage each pair had it’s own box with description to make it that much easier to decide which I’d wear that day. (That was until we moved and I ran out of room to store them, they’re now lovingly stored in the base of my bed, where I simply lift the bed and scour the lovelies to make my choice for the day!). The fact is I just can’t resist a gorgeous set of heels. But I am proud to say that, although I do have many, many, many, many, many, pairs they are all under the £200 mark – most being under £100!

That doesn’t mean that I don’t lust over many a pair of red soled beauties, or haven't dreamt of donning a Choo, or two. In fact, one of the first things I budgeted for was what my tootsies would wear on my wedding day!

During ‘the moment’ I had budgeted £1,000 for said shoes and merrily set about finding the pair of my dreams. My rationale for spending such an amount was that I would choose a pair that I’d wear again, and again. But as time has gone on, and after trying on many a Louboutin, Gina and Choo, without any luck (that being that I haven’t found the ones in my head, that aren’t over £1k!) it’s given me time to see sense and I now realise that I don’t NEED to spend that amount on a pair of shoes just because it’s my wedding day. I’d still very much love a sparkly Louboutin to join me down the 'aisle' – but for now, it’s back to the search engine. ‘Shoes’ xx
